Hammond Gallery Installation

Wednesday, September 24, 2008

Today we delivered and installed a truck load of paintings to the Boykin Cultural Center's Hammond Gallery in Wilson, NC.

Thanks to the help of Visual Arts Director Cynthia Whalen, the show is now ready to be viewed during tonight's event.

Pucci wasn't much help during the installation but he was looking totally adorable in his new glow-in-the-dark skeleton t-shirt from Old Navy.

Unfortunately, my hands are still pretty mangled from Sunday's bike wreck. Seriously, I am in constant pain...pity me.

Boykin is located at 108 West Nash Street in Wilson, NC. There will be an opening reception Thursday evening, October 2nd from 5:30 to 7:30 pm. The event is free and open to the public. Consider this an official invitation.

Special note: A big "Thank You" is due to my super cute and helpful hubby Justin for packing my paintings in their shipping crates, loading the crates in the truck, bandaging my mangled hands at 6 am this morning, driving the whole way to Wilson, unpacking the truck, unpacking the crates, moving the ladder around, taking lots of great photos, waiting patiently, looking after Pucci, loading the truck back up again with the empty crates...and driving us back home. What a supportive guy!!
