Birthday 43

Friday, October 26, 2018

What a day! Started with yoga then Leigh surprised me with flowers and my first sensory deprivation float at Floating Shanti. We had a nice lunch at our favorite Thai restaurant and spent a couple of quiet hours working on our embroidery projects. Then I met up with Justin downtown for a nice dinner at Antonella's and popped in to the Arts Council for the opening of their new photography exhibition. Topped off with new pjs and a weighted blanket for my anxiety issues. Loved everything about this day.

Nutter Butter

Friday, August 3, 2018

Today we were having some trees cut down and one of the guys showed me a nest of newborn squirrels. They were clearly abandoned. One was dead, one was barely alive and one looked like he might survive. I tried desperately to save both babies but one didn't make it. I hope this little guy does. So far so good. He's taking a few drops of pedialyte and puppy replacement milk. Pooping and peeing a little which is excellent to see because he was very dehydrated. That had me worried all day. Hopefully I'll be able to release him back into the wild in a few weeks.
