Incubation at the Burroughs Gallery
Sunday, February 6, 2011
Today I'm putting up my newest multimedia installation in the Burroughs Gallery on the campus of East Carolina University. I've been hard at work on this project for well over a year and it's finally finished. There are over 70 handmade wire sculptures with hog intestine stretched on the outside. I made slip cast porcelain eggs to go inside most of them. There's also an audio component. Each pod form is approximately 7" wide and 10" long. I'll post more photos and thoughts about the project later, but for now...an invitation to see the show if you find yourself in Greenville, NC this week.
