Abstraction and Beyond

Wednesday, July 14, 2010

Three of my pieces will be in a new exhibition at the Center for Faith and the Art in Salisbury, NC. Work for "Abstraction and Beyond," was selected by Juror Jenn Selby, Ph.D. Selby is a full-time visual arts faculty at Rowan-Cabarrus Community College, an adjunct Professor at Pfeiffer University, and serves on the board of directors at Waterworks Visual Arts Center.

The mission of Center for Faith & the Arts is to enrich religious faith by way of the arts and to promote appreciation of the arts in light of religious faith. The Center understands faith as the way we respond to life on the basis of what we believe. Thus, the Center works to strengthen the character and sense of shared humanity in the communities it serves.

Selected works will be exhibited in the CFA galleries located at 207 W. Harrison Street in Salisbury. The opening reception will be held on Thursday, July 15, 2010 from 5:30 - 8:30 p.m. for presentation of awards.

The show may also be viewed on August 14 and September 11, 2010 from 1:00 -
6:00 p.m. during the Rowan 2nd Saturday Art Crawl. Please call the Center
