Herbal Apothecary

This apothecary shop was a highlight of my trip. It was so authentic and the owner made all of her own blends and essences. I bought some Kangaroo Paw. Which is supposed to promote these positive influences:
  • Develops kindness and sensitivity towards others
  • relaxes enough to enjoy the company of others
  • develops a more appropriate sense of timing
  • becomes an individual who can share good and bad times with a few, but true, friends
  • remains unruffled in difficult situations
A few drops under the tongue every morning and out the door I go.
Kangaroo Paw is a small genus of plants found only in the southwest of Western Australia. Kangaroo Paw grows in clumps and has strap-like leaves. They enjoy well-drained soil or rocky ground in sunny places. Looking at the flower, it is easy to understand how the plant got its name. The outstanding colourful bright green/red, woolly flowers bud in spring and bloom in early summer. The nine paws in each cluster do not bloom all at once, but one after the other. As with the Fan Flower, the Kangaroo Paw flower has six “one-sided” petals.
