I just finished painting this card catalog from the 70's. I use it to store small tools such as scissors, plyers, and rotary cutters. This project was no small task! It took a few days and I'm exhausted. I won't go into all of the steps it took, but long story short - I used Annie Sloan's Paris Gray and clear wax but instead of using her brown wax, I used gray oil paint. I love the result. Next I'll put some labels on and I'll be done.

My first attempt at using Annie Sloan Chalk paints and waxes on furniture. Forgot to take a before shot but here's the finished piece. The actual dresser is less green then the pics.
ArtSpace Installation
Thursday, April 24, 2014
Spent the day in Raleigh hanging some work at ArtSpace. I've got a small portion of my large installation called "Incubation" (in the photo), two encaustic paintings, and several of my digitally printed and hand embroidered fabric panels (from my thesis exhibition titled "Vignettes of a Family". Check it out if you're local.
